To oversee the construction of the Community Marae and Wellbeing Hub;
To manage the ongoing maintenance of the Community Marae and Wellbeing Hub;
To arrange funding to give effect to the above objects; and
To do all things as may from time to time appear necessary or desirable to enable the Trustees to attain the above objects.
Can I see your Trust Deed?
Yes, you can read our Trust Deed on the Charities Register. A link is here.
How will you fund this development?
As part of our Business Case, we developed a high level funding plan based on the funding entities we believed would be most aligned with our kaupapa. We are now working with those funders on a stage by stage basis. We don't underestimate the scale of the project in front of us, but we are committed to the task and working to manage expectations and bring our community along with us on this exciting journey.
Is each entity funding their own building?
No, we are working as a collective for the funding of the site. This will have more appeal to funders who prefer multi disciplinary activities that minimise or remove duplication of effort.
What are your timeframes?
Timelines will be determined by lease, site planning and the available funding. Because of the size of the capital raise, we have already worked with Council to manage expectations and agree on process for formal catch ups (at two year intervals). Of course, we would love to achieve our funding objective as soon as possible, but we have to be pragmatic in the current economic and funding environment.
